Tinton Falls, NJ, December 6, 2011: Main Steel Polishing Company, Inc, a Shale-Inland company, has made a significant addition to its senior management team. Joe DeCarlo has joined Main Steel as its Vice President of Stainless Marketing, assuming responsibility for product management and promotion as well as driving new business development. Joe has a distinguished 30-plus year track record in metals distribution including 21 years with Thypin Steel as Stainless Product Manager. When Ryerson purchased Thypin in 1997, Joe was named Director, Stainless Purchasing, responsible for flat-rolled stainless sourcing for the entire company. He has also spent two years each with Gulf & Northern and American Strip. The last six years, Joe was the Senior Product Manager for Yarde Metals, a Reliance Company, where he purchased all stainless sheet and plate. Utilizing his sales and marketing background, he will work with the Main Steel commercial organization to reach the company’s objective of becoming the country’s premier non-ferrous distribution company.
